Enjoy “The experience farm” at the Gailtaler Bauer in Kirchbach, also very educational. How is it on a farm? You and your children will get the chance to take a look behind the scenes! Where does the milk come from? How is cheese made? How happy are the animals in the five star stable? In a exciting tour you will get to know everything there is to know about farms! What is the best thing about doing this? Well you will get to enjoy the amazing products from the Gailtal; from meat to cheese and eggs, they are all available here in the culinary farm shop for your next snack. Or go sit on the terrace while your children can enjoy themselves in the petting zoo or playground.

Just a few kilometers from the Italian border, the fans of the Mediterranean kitchen can enjoy a delicious pizza or pasta. A delicious wienerschnitzel or a good cordon blue in a typical Austrian restaurant would of course also not be a bad choice. We will happily tell you our tips.

Learn about the culinary skills from Alpen Adria, or go cross the border to Italy at the Nassfeld valley to experience the southern flair.

Summer in Carinthia
The summers here are long and are lovely qua climate, as you will have cool summer nights. During the day you will have the choice between a variety of activities that will surely suit everyone. Have a sneak peek at the farm next to the park, search up the excitement in the mountains, or take a refreshing dive in the lakes. Still wanna go out after dinner? The Old Dam on the Gail River is beautiful for the sunset, or get an ice cream at our park in Rattendorf.
The Pressegger See is a 15 minute drive. In the summer you can relax at or in the water with a temperature of up to 28 degrees, sound perfect right! There are multiple restaurants around the lake. On the lake itself you can do sailing, supping or even take a water bike. Prefer to be active without getting wet? A variety of bikes and hiking routes in the valley should fulfil your needs. Winter in Carinthia
In the winter, the region will offer you so many different possibilities to really enjoy the snow and sun. Due to the extra 100 sun hours in comparison to other regions is the chance high that you will enjoy your holiday here every season. Beginners, experienced skiers or families will always enjoy the challenges offered by the 110 kilometers of ski slopes in Nassfeld. In the region there is also a variety of ski schools with international ski instructors, so everyone can enjoy the snow and sun. At night go outside and enjoy the beautiful night sky while participating in our torch walk.
In the winter season the skibus will stop on the main road next to the park, and will drop you off by the entrance of the cable car. You rather want to go with car? No problem! You can park you car on the spacious parking lot, and the Piccolo Express will drop you off at the entrance.
