Rattendorf opened its doors in the winter season of 2019/2020. All the chalets here are built using traditional Carinthian techniques, thus its base is made by using wooden frame construction, and the addition of different aesthetic finishes makes the park playful. With a total of 6 people you can experience the ultimate holiday feeling here. Or choose for multiple chalets so that you can easily enjoy a holiday together. Do you still want more space or luxury? Well at this location we have 4 different types of houses available. Rattendorf thus offers you spacious areas inside and outside, parking right outside your door and the ability to fully enjoy the breathtaking mountains. And with some luck you will have the cows outside in the meadow beside your house.

Accomodations in Rattendorf

Luxury chalets and apartments accommodate 2-6 people. The luxury chalets have approximately 87 m² of living space with a lovely balcony at the front and back. Enjoy the space in your chalet, with everyone having their own bed. If you love to relax in the sauna, our SPA Residences are a must. Prefer no stairs and just a little more space around you? You will find that in our bungalow or apartments (except Maisonette).
Whatever type you choose, in each of our accommodations you will find a cozy living room with sitting area and spacious kitchen with all amenities. All accommodations are south facing. Is it getting too hot? Then you will find even more space behind the chalet to relax and if you are in an apartment you can enjoy the balcony. Winter and summer, the children run and run around the park or in the playground. This is located right next to our restaurant where you can enjoy yourself with one of the delicious dishes or a drink.

About the location

Our motto: Give yourself the time to relax! From the south you can directly view the mountains surrounding Nassfeld. In also just a few minutes you will be at the Millennium Express, the longest cable car of Austria. Summer or winter, Rattendorf will fulfil your needs. During the day is it very quiet in the park, so either you can go out to experience the region or let kids enjoy themselves around the park by playing football on the streets or tiring themselves on the trampolines. At the end of the day the other guests will return, but you will still have your privacy. Also in the summer you will regularly have cows on the meadows behind the park. In a few minutes you can also walk to the Gail to cool down, and even built a dam with a kids while you can enjoy the beautiful greens around you. At Rattendorf you will find our reception, but also the Clofers Cafe “bei Reiter”. Here you can enjoy a delicious meal or drink, and on the beautiful summer evenings you can join us for a delicious barbecue. Rather stay at your house? Then feel free to order from our restaurant and come pick it up. Our chalets are easily reachable, so no difficult mountain roads. Thus you can make use of the accesible main roads.

Whether you are an active skier/snowboarder, cross country specialist, or a hiker that loves to explore the surroundings, every season there where will be enough for you to explore and experience! Learn about the culinary skills from Alpen Adria, or go cross the border to Italy at the Nassfeld valley to experience the southern flair.

Winter in Carinthia
In the winter, the region will offer you so many different possibilities to really enjoy the snow and sun. Due to the extra 100 sun hours in comparison to other regions is the chance high that you will enjoy your holiday here every season. Beginners, experienced skiers or families will always enjoy the challenges offered by the 110 kilometers of ski slopes in Nassfeld. In the region there is also a variety of ski schools with international ski instructors, so everyone can enjoy the snow and sun.
In the winter season the skibus will stop on the main road next to the park, and will drop you off by the entrance of the cable car. You rather want to go with car? No problem! You can park you car on the spacious parking lot, and the Piccolo Express will drop you off at the entrance.

Summer in Carinthia
Right after your breakfast you can immediately jump on your bike or take one of the many hiking routes to explore the surroundings. Also a variety of tours will start in front of our park, so whether you are experienced or not, nothing should hold you back. The Millennium Express will also of course be open, thus go to the tops of the mountains when you want to experience some amazing views. Make use of lifts in the region for free with the Nassfeld +Card Holiday, you will get this card for free when staying with us. The children can play here in the sand pits or can go jumping on the trampolines. Rather want a refreshing dive? In just 15 minutes you will be at the Pressegger See, where you can take a water bike for a spin, do some supping or even sailing. There are multiple restaurants around the lake, so you can easily get a nice cool drink to fully relax. Or if you drive some more, you will find the Weißensee, which we also strongly recommend.

In just a few minutes driving you will find a variety of supermarkets and shops in Hermagor, you can find everything here that you would need for your stay. Don’t want to cook yourself? No problem, you are always welcome in our Clofers Cafe “bei Reiter”, which can be found inside the park. Come sit on our terrace in the summer or have a nice glühwein after our torch walk in the winter.
